In the City of London, time is the most valuable thing you own. Meetings run to the minute, lunches blur into deadlines, and even a moment’s pause feels earned.
At HAZ Plantation Place, that pause becomes a luxury — measured not in hours, but in atmosphere.
Step inside and the pace of the City softens. Dark porcelain marbles sweep across the floor, cool underfoot and polished to a quiet sheen. Overhead, wooden slats ripple across the ceiling like the surface of stirred Turkish coffee — the very ritual that inspired the restaurant’s award-winning de. Warm gold and copper lighting spills across leather armchairs and marble tables, creating a calm, confident balance.
Designed in collaboration with I-AM Associates, HAZ Plantation Place won the Restaurant & Bar Design Award for London (2018). The concept drew from the art of Turkish coffee — a ritual of patience and craftsmanship translated into architecture through contrast and tone.
This isn’t a restaurant you rush through. It’s a space made for conversation, for moments between meetings, for that first deep breath after a full morning. Marble, leather, copper, and wood — everything here has purpose, weight, and warmth.
Behind the dining room, an abundantly stocked bar gleams with labels from Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy, Château Ksara from Lebanon, Kalecik Karasi from Türkiye, and Askaneli Brothers from Georgia — wines chosen with the same precision as the design itself.
Because true luxury isn’t noise or excess; it’s time — and space — to appreciate what’s been carefully made.
