There\u2019s something about the first proper days of summer in the City \u2014 when the air feels a little softer, the pace slows just enough, and suddenly a glass of chilled ros\u00e9 feels not just like a drink, but a small celebration. Today, on International Ros\u00e9 Day, we\u2019re inviting you to join us in raising that glass.<\/p>\n

At Haz, ros\u00e9 has always had a special place on our tables. Our Haz Ros\u00e9 is made from the \u00c7alkaras\u0131 grape \u2014 a variety native to T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Aegean coast. If you\u2019ve never heard of \u00c7alkaras\u0131, you\u2019re not alone. It\u2019s a bit of a best-kept secret, grown in small pockets along the sun-drenched hillsides near the sea. One of our team members, visiting family near Denizli last summer, described the vineyards there as \u201ca patchwork of green and gold, where the breeze smells faintly of wild herbs.\u201d That\u2019s the place where our ros\u00e9 begins \u2014 and you can taste a little of that landscape in every sip: light, crisp, with just the right hint of fruit.<\/p>\n

Ros\u00e9 has long been called \u201cthe wine of summer\u201d<\/em> \u2014 and for good reason. The French poet Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Mistral once wrote of ros\u00e9 as \u201cthe color of the dawn reflected in a glass\u201d<\/em>. We love that image because it captures what we hope you feel when you take a moment with Haz Ros\u00e9: relaxed, bright, and ready to savour the day.<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s a quick lunch between meetings, an unexpected team toast at the end of the week, or a quiet solo glass with a mezze platter, Haz Ros\u00e9 fits the moment. Our Mediterranean dishes \u2014 from fresh salads to grilled seafood \u2014 were made with these kinds of pairings in mind.<\/p>\n
